Personalized Learning is tailoring each students’ academic experience to their learning style, individual needs and interests. Since we are year-round and each plan is individually designed, students can enroll at any time throughout the year.

We offer more than a diploma. We give our students an array of programs that help them engage more fully in their academic work, as well as exposing them to exciting opportunities to further develop courage, resiliency and important life skills.
What Is Personalized Learning?
First, we assess the student’s skills with a computer-based diagnostic test that gives an accurate gauge of their reading and math levels. Teachers use this to customize a curriculum and academic action plan. Students can study two subjects at a time (vs. six in traditional school) and work at their own pace to master each subject area. The students are assigned to a supervising teacher — who identifies and addresses any adversity to learning – as well as a team of subject-specific teachers with whom they meet at least once a week to review their personalized lessons, get help with assignments and complete tests. Students are provided with free tutors in math and English; small group-based instruction labs; and full-time counselors who provide social, emotional and academic mentorship and guidance.
